These pieces aim to convey a sense of grounded presence. They sit comfortably in spaces of contemplation and within interiors that value silence, depth, and material honesty. Sacred Stillness is not a narrative series, but rather an invitation to approach up close, where subtle variations in sheen, texture and tone become apparent. The restrained palette of charred umber, ash, and pale clay tones allows the surface itself to act as the subject.

Working with mixed media, these canvases involve the process of soaking and compressing or distressing layers of tissue with oil and acrylic paint, creating subtle cracks and folds in texture and form.
